One thing I was thinking about when reading the call for volunteers for 
PESCI:

I'd like to see thoughtful people on this group.

Thoughtful people are likely to see that participatig in the group will be 
a painful experience.
They are likely to not volunteer for the job.

I'd like people to think about who they WANT to have doing this job (and 
who they do NOT want to have there?), and tell Brian about that.
