No.  Sorry to not clarify that in my earlier email.  I have tested 40K broadband modems (some modem were from a virtual modem generator) on a service provider cable router in my lab.

Did you make any "flash failure" events ?

I thought a reload of a cable router and then getting modems online would be good to measure a failure though the failure may not be what you want and once I understand flash failure, I can reply further, if need be.    For service provider routers, I'd think a flash failure is the route processor card crashed but being a service provider router, the router moves over to the standby route processer card and thus this box won't simulate a flash failure if I understand flash failure correctly.  The switchover takes a few seconds for a service provider router.
