Hi all,

Together with the University of Oulu we implemented the P2PP protocol on
the S60 platform. The P2PP is designed to work both on PCs and mobile
phones. The current implementation allows mobile phones to act both as
P2PSIP peers and P2PSIP clients. The demo of P2PP on Nokia phones will
be presented at CCNC in Las Vegas in January 2008. Everyone is welcome
to visit our stand!

If you are interested in P2P for handheld devices you may consider
visiting the P2PHD workshop:
http://cms.comsoc.org/CCNC_2008/Content/Home/Call_for_Papers_/P2P_HD_Wor
kshop.html

You may find a link to the second version of the P2PP draft below.

> This document defines the Peer-to-Peer Protocol (P2PP), an
> application-layer binary protocol, for creating and maintaining an
> overlay of participant nodes. The overlay can be created using
> various structured and unstructured peer-to-peer protocols such as
> Bamboo, Chord, Pastry, Kademlia, Gnutella, and Gia. P2PP uses a
> secure transport, supports an application API, has
>mechanisms for NAT
> and firewall traversal, exchanging node capabilities, and
>diagnostic
> information. P2PP is designed to support a P2P Session Initiation
> Protocol (SIP) network, but it can be used for other
>applications as
> well.
