There's also the ftp: URL. And the gopher: URL. And the telnet: URL, if
anyone still remembers that one. In fact, every single URL type that has
an embedded hostname fires off a DNS query.

There is no such thing as a HTTP address. There are only A and AAAA records.
And ws: URLs don't have to point to a server that serves HTTP.

So I'm not sure what the question is really asking, but for all the
interpretations I can come up with that make sense to me, the answer is
"no".
