Hi
About the analysis:

"Mediactrl solves the problem of binding a connection to a dialog by
defining a SYNC message. TOTE solves this problem by using ICE, which
provides this correlation as part of its normal operations. Mediactrl
solves the problem of keepalives using its own keepalive message; TOTE
uses the ICE keepalive mechanism."

I think that there is a difference there. Media control is using one
dialog to the media server for opening the control channel. On this
control channel the media server will get many controls that relate to
different dialogs created separately (users connecting to the media
server). The association is between a specific control command and a
dialog and not between the control channel and a dialog.

Roni Even.
