In light of the recent concerns around “.zip” and “.exe” TLDs, wanted to
mention that we will not use “.at” as a file suffix for exported atproto
repository content. We are planning to use the binary CAR file format
(from the IPFS ecosystem), and files would be “.car”, or possibly a
compound suffix like “<filename>.atproto.car.gz”.

(off-topic for this mailing list, but relevant to concerns around the .at
TLD specifically)

I do understand that the DNS TLD space is disjunct from the URI naming space, but i do want to point out that registration of URI schemes with stringes identical to a well known, long-established TLD might have potential for confusion between the two name spaces.
