However, how they are used in Replication List entries is in https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-vda-lisp-underlay-multicast-trees/.  It is still open if all three docs should be merged in a big document or preferable to have several docs. It would be great to hear feedback from the WG.

I propose (and prefer) seperate docs since RFC6831 is really large and details the interaction of LISP with PIM used in the underlay. And RFC8378 focuses solely on an unicast underlay. And of course draft-vda-lisp-underlay-multicast-trees allows you to have a mix of unicast and multicast RLOC mappings which both RFC6831 and RFC8378 use.
