I was afraid you'd say that (I haven't reached the HS part in detail).

Which just proves my point, that it is a special case with special handling. I actually think it may be fine to do special handling for stream frames as well, as long as we don't call it streams and instead optimize it for what it is rather than a leaking abstraction.
