He certainly deserves credit for presenting it.

But then you can't just go off to an island and just implement something.
It is always possible that as an operating system designer, you miss an
operator perspective.

Of course, it is possible that the implementation was frozen long before there
was any discussion here about the subject. But then you can just say that
you will try to get it fixed in a future release.

If Apple really has more than two years of experience with HE, then it would
have been nice if they would have shared some.
