I understand how the market works :-)

The point is: IPv6 PI is considered one solution for the "I want to be
able to change providers without renumbering" problem space - and there
are a fair number of affected parties (namely: ISPs having to buy bigger
and bigger routers) that think that this is a non-scalable approach.
