+1.  I didn't know.
I was in violation while there, which I learnt reading the thread on the
airplane, after having left.

I carry it for protection of person: but not against people.
But rather as boy scout would: against being lost in the woods, stranded on a
dessert island, etc.
(Pre-911, having it on an airplane was not a problem in most places)
Blades that don't lock are useless.  (Mine is <3")

Gravol is, for instance, unavailable in the UK with a script.
That's a big deal for my wife, as she frequently needs it when flying.
I think that Ibuprofin and Acetaminophin is also hard to get, I brought my
own, and the flights of stairs in the hotel made me happy that I had it.
(Meanwhile, in Italy, after the first Prague meeting, I got a muscle relaxant
