Hi Charles,
The crime situation did not changed much from previous IETF in general. These reports were/are not complete FUD, bud frankly speaking, pickpockets in Europe are working in organized groups that move from one city to another (like this week to Prague, next week somewhere else). 

I'm happy to see no bad experience, hopefully the same will happen for eventual next ietf meeting. On the other hand, there is more than 1200 IETFers, and statistics shows no mercy.
