Dover, Wight, Portland, Plymouth: West 5 to 7, increasing gale 8 later,
occasionally severe gale 9 in Portland and Plymouth, and perhaps in Wight.
Moderate or rough, becoming rough or very rough except in Dover, then becoming
very rough or high later in west Portland and in Plymouth. Squally showers.
Good, occasionally poor.
