To double down, a further specification comes from this article <
https://typologyatcrossroads.unibo.it/article/download/13428/13064/49113>:

" The varieties spoken in Val Badia are commonly indicated as BADIOT (or
LADIN DE ALTA VAL, in the upper part of the valley), LADIN DE MESA VAL (in
this article Lmv, in the middle part of the valley and nowadays recognised
as the standard form in Val Badia) and MAROU (in the municipality of
Mareo-Marebbe-Enneberg, in the lower part of the valley)."

So there seems to be no single term covering all Ladin local variants
spoken in Val Badia, and Badiot does not necessarily indicate the local
variant with major prestige. That could explain why Val Badia is used to
cover the Rheto-Romance language present in the valley as a whole.
