Dear all,

could this be an instance for which the multi-dimensional framework for
dealing with language variation as (being) established in ISO 21636
could be fruitfully applied?

We have not yet discussed, let alone created, the necessary extension(s)
for registering variants in the different dimensions -- in this case,
the dimensions of space (dialects, standard varieties and the like) and
of medium (different writing systems).  As several Ladin dialects seem
to share a writing system, this seems an excellent opportunity for me to
enter this discussion, which I wanted to bring up soon  anyway.

I agree that there is not to be expected a high-frequent use of the
entries to be created, but even then, better create them in an organized
way then not creating them at all, I would say.

Best,

Sebastian
