It’s true that there may be some use case for hierarchical, non-mesh self-forming networks, but that’s not the use case I’m trying to address here. We tried to address that use case in homenet and arguably failed.

My goal here is to describe something that can be done largely with existing technology and can be deployed in real, existing networks today.
