Exactly and that was a similar situation I was referring to.   And, unlike
what Stephen F said, it wasn't that there were particular problems with the
draft - it's just helpful to ensure that all authors are fine with the
compromise, rather than issues recurring after the doc is adopted.

Personally, I don't think that authors saying they support the draft being
adopted is harmful and in some cases it can be helpful.
