That enough people don't care and these sensors still pay themselves?

:)

Btw, i also kept stuff in the fridge, but apparently i treat things gentle enough that i didn't trip a sensor...

The paper beneath the door was accurate (to the extent the hotel had te info) but not a proper invoice. The person at reception actually had a free text word doc to modify the receipt in whatever way necessary.

In my experience the minibar sensors are ubiquitous throughout the world and are uniformly bad, to the extent that front desk staff commonly cancel disputed minibar charges without a second thought. (As happened to me this stay.)

There's probably a lesson to be learned there, somewhere.

The sensor in the fridge is really sensitive. To be triggered one does not
have to open the door even an accidental brush against the wooden cabinet

the sensor technology when in fact the rooms could have done with a more
contemporary upgrade.
