Those statements are already in the list archives. They are also, no doubt,
part of the reason why the chairs chose to proceed as they did, by asking
the "do you want to drop this document" question in the room, registering
strong consensus (and I agree - I was there and it seemed very strong to
me), and taking that question to the mailing list.
