Having served on three NomComs in recent years, I would not like this outcome.

NomCom service comes with a cost. That cost increases as the group increases in size, not just in the higher probability of being selected, but very much more in terms of coordination and effort. 10 voting members is already at the point where coordinating meetings and ensuring that everyone has a chance to be heard is difficult.

15 members might reduce the odds of a gender diversity miss from the random draw to the point where you are comfortable, but it wouldn't eliminate it entirely. And it would make the NomCom considerably less efficient.

I am fortunate enough to be chairing a NomCom where voting members (and liaisons) have been generally very good about their engagement and participation. But it is still a lot of work and I understand that finding a willing chair is quite hard. Don't make the job even less appealing.
