[JL] Speaking as just one person on the design team, we did discuss that a bit. But IIRC we decided to focus on the selection process only after we get more feedback from the community on the various organizational models (at the IETF 99 meeting), and so it would follow after that. I think we all recognize it is an important matter and so share your concern.

[JL] Good point. Accountability & transparency are paramount IMHO.
