I agree with you that we don't need an implementation from the author as
long as there are implementation within the Internet Community. I do know
that there are implementations for AODV and it is one of the best protocols
for ad hoc networks.

Yes I would like that AODVv2 to be re-submitted and discussed within this
WG.
