Hi OpenPGP community,

We are long overdue for getting out a revision of RFC 4880, and I hope we can see the process wrap up soon so we can move on to future work. It appears to me the only draft that incorporates ideas from a wide range of implementers, with strong modern cryptographic primitives in all categories, with mechanisms that respond to documented attacks, is draft-ietf-crypto-refresh.

Please complete the work on the crypto-refresh draft. Then we can build on that to make more improvements by rechartering the working group.

Regards,

Phil Zimmermann
