The list of applications that open multiple TCP connections to the
same destinations includes:

* Email (MTAs)
* FTP (data+control)
* Web (all common browsers since Mosaic)

In addition, P2P apps open multiple connections to multiple
destinations.

This is pretty much the list of Internet killer apps minus IM. It
would be counterproductive for us to label this practice anti-social.

The multiple connections document needs to provide a lot of facts and
a little guidance grounded in facts, not the other way.

Can you expand on how multiple connections impede the provider's
ability to manage traffic?
