It's clear that there are two different positions on this DISCUSS:
David's, and Jari/Ron's (probably shared by Joe, too). But it's not
clear to me whether I should simply modify the document as indicated by
Jari/Ron, or whether there's a middle-ground that could possibly make
both parties happy (I'm assuming that sticking to David's position is
not an option).

(FWIW, me, I agree with David's position... but for obvious reasons I
might be biased... hence my request for advice on how to proceed).

Thoughts?
