Here's some documentation from IBM (google found this - 2nd in list when searching for IPV6_USE_MIN_MTU):

http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/zos/v1r12/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.zos.r12.hale001%2Fipv6d0151000614.htm

There are plenty of other links -- About 10,100 results (0.25 seconds).

I would like to hear a description of the actual benefit it would confer. I suspect there is none. I can't find any documentation for the option using google, and the only discussion I find about it is in relation to BIND 10.
