Speaking with my "CAB Forum member" hat on, I would be happy to make the
argument there that they should allow CAs to issue for special purpose
names, as long as they follow validation procedures appropriate to each
special-purpose namespace.  (Though clearly, I can't guarantee an outcome.)

The critical thing is having a clear designation, rather than the ambiguity
we have now.
