Hi!  Thanks for the summary!

I think you meant “request a new attribute number for *large* communities” below.

Please follow the process in rfc7120: you send me the formal request, I approve, and then you (Chairs) request the allocation from IANA.  Now that -04 was published we should be ready to go.  We should be able to include the 2 deprecated values in the same request.

The WG consensus is that the IDR WG wishes to have IANA deprecate attribute 30, and reassign large communities another attribute number for its early allocation.

Alvaro should request a new attribute number for wide communities.
