There was notetaking in the jabber channel in a few of the sessions I was in.

I think it at least privacypass a bunch of the jabber disconnect was
from people asking basic clarifying questions that they wouldn't in an
f2f or necessary on a mailing list. Lower activation energy=more
activity.
