Hi CATS,

I support the adoption. I have reviewed the document and it has a very complete description of the framework and functional components.
However, I have a minor comment for this draft.
I think it would be better to mention some flexibility in hybrid mode. If it is possible to make a simple decision in C-SMA and C-NMA? Because different service types do have different requirements. For some delay-sensitive service, such as intelligence transportation, path computation is better to perform in ingress CATS-Forwarder. In this way, the signaling transmission time between the centralized C-PS and the ingress CATS-Forwarder can be reduced. As for other service that prioritize global utilization, such as VR/AR, SDWAN, path computation is better to perform in the centralized C-PS because centralized C-PS has a global perspective.
[Cheng] I think the comment is reasonable. Also, I notice that you have stated this in your previous email and your draft. I am wondering that if you can contribute some text directly? You can share to the mail list, or you can create a Pull request in Github repo: https://github.com/boucadair/CATS-framework

I have a proposed text as following but I am not sure if this is suitable for adding to this draft.
“In hybrid model, the C-SMA and C-NMA can determine whether to report the collected metrics to centralized C-PS or C-PS in ingress CATS-Forwarders according to the requirements (delay or global utilization, etc.) of different service types. ”
[Cheng] Nice. Will integrated your proposal into the draft later on. If you want to contribute more text regarding this model, please share or share to the Github repo.

I believe this draft can meet the milestone through more contributuons.

Best regards,
Xinxin Yi

Hi CATS,

We have had IPR disclosure responses from all authors and contributors.
All but one have indicated "no IPR", with the remaining one stating that
there is IPR, but the company is doing a detailed analysis before filing a
disclosure.

The working group has a milestone for "Adopt the CATS Framework and
Architecture document"

So, we are going to start a two week adoption poll for the draft. This will
end on 9th March at 9am GMT.

Please state your opinions on whether or not this document should be
adopted. Authors and Contributors are also welcome to state their opinions.
Recall that the document does not have to be perfect at this point: we are
looking for a starting point that can be taken up by the WG and edited until
it is complete and ready.

A simple yes or no is helpful, but doesn't carry much weight.

So, if "yes":
- have you reviewed the document?
- do you have any comments or editorial suggestions?
- do you think this is the right document to meet the milestone?
- why do you think this is a good document?

And, if "no":
- what are your concerns?
- what is your proposal to meet the milestone?

If the current IPR situation is a significant concern to you, you are
welcome to state that.

Thanks,
Adrian (for the chairs)
