But that would be the wrong way to deal with it.  There is a significiant
problem in the network, which should not be dealt with "like any other
session reset" - so you need to add code to handle that, and this would
effectively be "modify FSM".

Which is like most of the draft deals with - the actual code change
needed in a BGP implementation is minimal (as Claudio demonstrated).

How much more work would it be to get USER_TIMEOUT into IOS, IOS XE, ...
TCP stacks?
