> 'adding complexity' is a highly subjective assessment.

actually, it is a studied and measured subject, and of particular
interest to software engineering.

and i have become used to it taking the ietf culture a couple of decades
for the clue to sink in. i whined about dns[sec] complexity in a 2000
plenary talk [0], and it was not undil almost twenty years later that
the ship started to turn, see [1] where pretty much only the animal was
changed :)

i have reached the age and stage where i try to stay amused at the crud
that is generated and the increasing mess it makes. keeps the young
occupied. "i can code it in only 100 lines." and provides full
employment for programmers.

randy, trying hard to stay polite and apologizing if i failed
