XEP-0176 mostly tells you how to transport the trickle candidates. It does not answer the questions of ICE works with trickle candidates and there are a bunch of them as raised in EKR's email and others. Note these are not new concerns - many of these were discussed with Rohan back when he was writing the Jingle stuff. We just never sorted them out.
