That *is* the reason to register subtags as we cannot distinguish which
orthography/romanization is used by *only* specifying the nan-Latn language
tag.

It is *indeed necessary* with existing usages, including Wikipedia,
Wikidata, MediaWiki.
We should use a recognized, registered tag instead of using private subtags.

This is also requested by the Wikimedia Hokkien Minnan language users'
community for a long time.
