Dear IESG,

As the editor of the Tao of the IETF I would like to, as per RFC 6722, request your review for a possible new revision of the Tao.

You can find the Possible New Revision of the Tao here: http://www.ietf.org/tao-possible-revision.html and here: https://github.com/ietf/tao/blob/main/Tao.md

You can find the current version of the Tao here: https://www.ietf.org/about/participate/tao/ and here: https://github.com/ietf/tao/blob/ae31db516c1c5cade50a25640f528bb36e81bc5e/Tao.md

In this version we did a full edit of the Tao to make it shorter and more readable, updated markdown to be compliant with the IETF's website CMS (Wagtail), and updated a lot of outdated information.

We made new iterations through discussions on the Tao-discuss mailinglist and by organizing a Tao edit-a-thon with contributions from different parts of the community.

I am looking forward to your review. Of course PR's are more than welcome.

Once you approve the Possible Revision, it can be published on the IETF website.

Best,

Niels
