This may have been covered before when I didn't pay attention, but is
there any thoughts going into issues like:

- Use IETF standard protocol between server and clients a SHOULD

  - For example, for chat, we should encourage XMPP for chat

  - This also allows implementations on any systems, not just
    Win/Mac/Linux

- Support of open standards like OpenOffice documents preferred over
  closed standards like PowerPoint?

Definitely!  A system to be able to identify whom is causing the most
noise on the channel is useful in identifying which participants to
mute.

What about video recording of the screen presentation?
