Probably Ryan will be interested in participate too.
I agree that the discussion would be better in a "neutral" forum, I
was just suggesting forums to "join the people together" if it is
necessary to start the new mailing list.
If you want, I can start a thread in the bitcoin-dev mailing list to
get more people interested in the protocol.
