It might also be characterized as a chronolect.  Currently this committee
uses them only for specific orthographic reforms like DE-1901 for the
codified orthography of that year, but there is nothing preventing
something like "DE-cent16" for 16th century German from being registered.
(This would be incorrectly understood in Italian, where _Seicento_ means
1600-1699, but we can't have everything.)  In this case there is no actual
date, of course.

Unfortunately, there is no information publicly available on these 8
dimensions that I can find.  Is there any description not behind the ISO
paywall, or can you prepare a short precis?  I would be interested if so.
