DHCPv6-PD comes to mind...  as the next person to speak up will want
a routed setup with many layers in their VM stack on their laptop, 
"something with routed subnets" is (obviously) needed.

Otherwise, you're back to "your VM stack needs to do bridging", which
they notoriously cannot get right for the generic "bridging to wifi"
case.
