Even outside of Dublin I found many restaurants here in 
Ireland list celiac and vegetarian options on their menus.  So
there is certainly an awareness of dietary restrictions here -- 
more of a than my experience with similar class restaurants in 
the US or Canada.

I agree that the IETF should make the hotel staff aware of 
religious and dietary restrictions of our attendees -- for all
we know, we might not just be the geekiest meeting they have
ever seen, but we might also be the most diverse.  This is 
especially important at remote sites like Dublin, where it
isn't possible to choose from a nearby restaurant.

But perhaps when attendees learn of the remote location,
they could bring it up on the main IETF mailing list.
