I will be astounded if Gabriel doesn't send out (additional) solicitations
for nominations. Most Nomcom chairs do (according to
https://datatracker.ietf.org/nomcom/ann/#2021), and that includes Barbara
Stark, who is on Gabriel's Nomcom as past chair (according to
https://datatracker.ietf.org/group/nomcom2021/about/) and sent out a second
call in 2020. I remember that some chairs have sent out third solicitations
for specific positions, and Allison Mankin sent out a fourth solicitation.

But Rich is correct - it's a responsibility that we all have, to nominate
the best people we can nominate, and that's also in our best interests. ADs
and WG chairs (and IAB members) may be well-placed to consider multiple
potential nominees, but if you know someone who you would want to serve as
your AD, please nominate them, and let Gabriel confirm that they can accept
that nomination.

Best,

Spencer
