According to Michael Richardson <mcr@sandelman.ca>:

Frankfurt airport to Maastricht by train is about four hours with 3 or
4 connections. Nunich airport to Maastricht by train is 8 or 9 hours,
3 or 4 connections or 6 if you like living dangerously. I think that
sounds like fun, but I am strange.

It's a reasonable train trip from AMS or BRU and maybe CDG but not from
other airports.

This is all easy to find on the usual rail booking sites like trainline.eu
so I don't think we need a lot more advice than where to buy train tix.
