You did type URL, which generally implies a domain name.

Taking this one step further into some of the discussions I'd had with
people such as Elliot Lear, this likely ties a bit more into proposals for
pointing to software manifests for products.  A URL would be sufficient -
and quite possibly not what some people would want to use this feature for.

I don't pretend that it solves this problem.  It's not my feature. :-)
