I have updated the RPL Information Header draft (new title, old draft name*):
Thank you all for a lot of helpful input.

Htmlized: http://tools.ietf.org/html/draft-bormann-6lo-rpl-mesh-01
Diff: http://www.ietf.org/rfcdiff?url2=draft-bormann-6lo-rpl-mesh-01

This now contains a lot more discussion and background information about what it is trying to do.
(There are no technical changes from the Aug 01 version -00, but there is a second page describing it in more detail.)

This draft is both intended as a response to the WGLC referenced in the subject and as a proposal to the 6lo working group to pick this up as a working group item. (Clearly, if we do this, we’ll want lots of input from ROLL whether we are doing the right thing, while it is 6lo’s job to do the thing right. No changes to the IP architecture are required, so there is no need to bother 6man with this work.)

Heads up: I’ll have limited E-Mail access Aug 16 to Sep 3.

Grüße, Carsten

*) There is always so much confusion when a draft name is changed and the numbering starts at -00 again.
We can choose a better draft name for draft-ietf-6lo-___, if and when we get there…
