IMO it would be wise to gather evidence about that before proposing changes to the IETF’s equivalent of hiring panels. It would also be helpful to provide metrics and measurable outcomes that can be used to assess how effective a proposed change has been. More women (or any other under-represented group) on the nomcom may well be a very good thing. But how does that get determined? How do we measure success or failure? For some definition of those terms.
