1. Consider the possibility that some of the cases are deliberate trolling

as an attack on the IETF and the Internet.
2. http://dilbert.com/strip/2015-06-07 is an anti-pattern:
(“misinterpret every comment you make as an absurd absolute and then attack it …”)

3. terse can be dismissive, dismissive can be rude
   but not always, and it’s better to encourage terse.
