I note that draft-ietf-json-rfc4627bis-04 still awards him change 
control. I'd really like to have Douglas back as an author (even if he 
isn't too much involved in day-to-day work), but I think it's not 
appropriate that an IETF WG produce a Media type definition that doesn't 
list the IETF as Change Controller.
