Really?  When did smart phones and the like switch to 64-bit processors? I must 
have missed the announcement.

(The platforms where performance is irrelevant because the CPU is just sitting 
there twiddling its thumbs waiting for the next job, desktop PCs and the like, 
are 64-bit, although even there most are running in 32-bit mode.  The platforms 
where performance is critical because of lack of CPU power and lack of battery 
power to drive it, are all 32 bit).
