Just for the fun of the counterargument:

The plenary seems to be the one session with the lowest probability that you want
to go to the microphone. Hence it is most easily the one to watch to instead of
sitting in (stats just because of the large number of participants). So the live
conflict issue is statistically probably less an issue.

Of course, if we're going to have long fun microphone lines as in the past,
this wouldn't be true anymore... ;-)
