Dear WG Chairs,
I'm confused and hope you can clarify the state of the WG AP on
draft-chen-bier-frr.
It appears to me that in the course of the discussion a number of
significant problems with the draft were brought forward. Also, it was
proposed to revisit the scope, cooperate with the authors of
draft-merling-bier-frr on a document that discusses both mechanisms of FRR
in BIER (that brings RFC 4090 to my memory). A note from two groups of
authors that they will be working together is very encouraging. What I
think will be the result, regardless of the short name of that draft, will
be, in my opinion, a new individual draft. It probably will be presented to
the WG and the WG will discuss if it is ready for the WG adoption poll.
Said all that, I'm not sure what is the status of WG AP on
draft-chen-bier-frr.
Much appreciate your thoughts.
To clarify my position, I don't support wG adoption of the current version
of draft-chen-bier-frr. I will be happy to help in the work on the new
draft by reviewing it and, if authors find helpful, discussing OAM aspects
of FRR.

Regards,
Greg
